Today’s Insights IBD was created to raise global visibility for organizations fundraising for treatments and cures, and to take action on innovative care solutions. By bringing together communities and stakeholders, I strive to amplify the impact of these incredible efforts.
With the alarming rise in IBD cases worldwide, it’s crucial to move beyond discussions and take decisive action on a global scale. As a patient advocate, I am deeply concerned about the suffering of patients. Living with IBD is incredibly challenging, as it brings both physical and mental burdens. Therefore, in addition to fundraising, I am focusing on two key questions: What steps can we take right now to improve patient care globally? And how can we leverage existing data to optimize research and drive better patient outcomes?
I aim to share valuable knowledge inspired by the IBD community, while exploring opportunities for collaboration with healthcare professionals and researchers.
Founder
I’m Raihaneh, living in the Netherlands, and the founder of Today’s Insights IBD. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work & Services and am currently completing a Master’s degree in Management, specializing in Strategy and Innovation. My professional background is diverse, encompassing experience in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, including strategic planning, business consultancy, marketing, digital strategy, social media management, board participation, ceative writing, and social work.
In 2020, I was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease, a life-altering event that opened my eyes to the many challenges patients face. My mission is to use my voice and skills to advocate for faster and results-driven progress in IBD healthcare, and to contribute to innovative solutions. My main interests are supporting IBD nonprofit organizations, the development of new medical treatments, access to evidence-based nutrition care, and increased awareness for bile acid malabsorption. I’m an active patient advocate within the IBD community.
